Full House of Penultimate Round Places for China

On Tuesday May 19, 2009, China dominated the quarterfinal stage of both the Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles event at the Cheng Shin Tire 22nd Asian Cup in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.

One day later, they did exactly the same; in the semi-finals of both competitions against high-class adversaries they were in form, the juggernaut rolled forward.

Yet again in a major table tennis tournament, the Chinese were dominant; sheer class.

Wins
At the penultimate stage of the Men’s Singles event, Ma Long overcame Japan’s Seiya Kishikawa while Wang Hao defeated compatriot Zgang Jike.

Meanwhile, in the counterpart female event it was success for Liu Shiwen and Guo Yue.

Liu Shiwen beat Chinese national team colleague, Ding Ning while Guo Yue ended the hopes of Hong Kong’s tie Yana
