2009 Florida Hall of Fame Tournament

Courtesy of Florida Table Tennis Association By: Michael McFarland (FLTTA, State Director) The first Florida Hall of Fame Tournament was the first event that the new Florida Table Tennis Association has brought to the Florida table tennis community. This FLTTA tournament partnered with the Broward Table Tennis Club, as it will partner with any of its state clubs to help with its continue success. Because the purpose of the Florida Table Tennis Association is to work together with its table tennis community to continue the success of our sport. The event began at this years banquet dinner honoring & inducting Randy Hess, Beverlyn Paterson, Harry McFarland & Jerry Thrasher for dedicating and given so much of their lives to Florida table tennis.

This event was great to see so many of our young sports future champions excelling in our great sport. We want to give a special thanks to Butterfly for being our official ball sponsor. Future Florida Hall of Fame tournaments will be held every two years. Florida clubs will have the opportunity to bid on this event to host, and the Florida Hall of Fame committee will be inducting new members to the Florida Hall of Fame.
