2009 “Think Spring” Giant Round Robin

In the upper-level event on Saturday the top player in each of the six first-stage round robins was rated over 2150, with the top seed in the event being Joey Cochran, current Indiana State Men’s Singles Champion and U.S. National Men’s U22 Champion. Overall results for the upper division were largely in line with expectations, with first and second places claimed by Joey Cochran and Arjun Shankaren, the two top seeds in the event.

Sunday, however, was a different matter, with several upsets in the first and second stages. The top finisher on Sunday was Lee Seibold, followed by David Reilly.
